Okay thanks bye

Scott the champion finally bought himself a domain name, kthxbi.org. This guy is responsible for Roffle, just a collection of random IRC quotes from #hash and #n00b on irc.oz.org. In addition, he wrote his own PHP blog software and uses valid XHTML/CSS. You should visit his website and post comments ![]()
World of Warcraft
Posted in Life++ on Thursday, 27th October 2005 (8 Comments »)
I hereby declare that I spend too much time on World of Warcraft. The game is trouble to my fragile soul, and is messing with the very core of who I am. World of Warcraft is turning me into a communist zombie, with only one purpose: Recruit more into my legion.
I proclaim world of Warcraft not only a waste of money, but I also hereby nullify any obligation previously required of Ashley to play the game. He may wait until he is finished his course until he starts playing, if he chooses to at all.
I am also going to stop playing, because the game is horrible. the graphics are just awful… Just look at the pixels everywhere! Any game with so many pixels is bound to get confusing.
Tate signing out, adios.
Stylish Shirts for us

For a rather long time, Ashley and I have always discussed the possibility of purchasing Gentoo T-shirts. In particular, we had our eyes set on the Gentoo golf shirt. Unfortunately, after calculating the final cost, it was in excess of $40! Determined to promote our favourite flavour of linux, we set out to produce our own, custom shirts. A few iron-on transfers and two shirts later, we had done it! Consistent with the style of the original golf shirt, Ashley and I also incorporated a little bit of our own humour ;).
In total, the iron-on transfers were $25 for ten sheets; $15 for the polo shirt and a single dollar for the ink ;). Actually, it costed a little more than that since we messed up the shirts first-time round. In the end, I’d managed to grab a $7 polo from lowes which nice and comfy :). Cheers.
Gentoo Linux in the press

A school network admin by the name of Mike has recently converted all of the boxes in the classroom to Gentoo Linux. The report received media attention and an interview was conducted with the Network Admin.
This may seem like a “shameless plug”, but I thought you might be interested in seeing a piece our local CBS news affiliate did on our school’s recent switch to Gentoo Linux (I’m the network administrator they interviewed).
You can view the forum thread here which contains links to view the short 5mb video clip. Yay for Gentoo!
A not so important update

It’s time to announce the introduction of Sarah’s *real* blog. Previously, she had a MSN Space which we all know are not real blogs. Fortunately for her, her website now resides on Shoebox. You can view her daily and intellectual rambles here. On that note, Ashley Kyd has updated his website theme. I suggest you check it out. It’s neat, clean and scalable. While we’re at it, I’m pleased to announce a few updates to the #Hash IRC statistics. There are now pictures for almost everyone and it’s generated a lot of interest from channel participants. Thanks to Ashley who also helps maintain them whilst leaving a few surprises here and there ;). I’ve also noted that Linux Kernel 2.6.13-r3 is now available from Gentoo Portage. I personally use the love sources, and the site appears to be down atm :(.
EDIT: Adam has had problems compiling the nVidia drivers against 2.6.13. Maybe it’s appropriate to steer clear of this kernel until nVidia or the Kernel dev team rectify the problem.
Stress, Argh!

Far out, how hectic is uni for my atm? It’s mostly a result of my poor organisation and serious procrastination. I’m sure many readers could vouch for my “I’m working on my assignment, but I’m really talking on IRC or playing DOD:S”. Right now, I’ve spent most of the day working on my ‘Professional Group Project’ for employment relations. It’s more or less about Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in the workplace environment. The first part of the report deals with the significance and importance of OHS and the parties involved. The latter part is discussion of our survey findings, relating them back to the literature. Secondly, I have a Reflective Essay for Business Communication that is due tomorrow afternoon. There is *way* I’ll be able to write a quality essay by the deadline tomorrow. I’ll be working my arse off all day tomorrow witting this assignment to hand it one day late and lose 10% of my final mark on the assignment. I’m not too concerned since in the previous two assessments I’ve attained 80%+. Lastly, I need to finish the work off for the professional project as it is due Wednesday. I feel that I am doing a majority of the work for this assessment, however, no point whining, I just need to get it done and get a good mark for it *hopefully*.
Thursday, I’m considering eating pizza with Ashley. I’ve learnt a home-made style recipe that tastes fantastical! Infact, I’m even thinking about written an article. It’s so simple, cheap and tastes like good! Thursday may be relaxation, and the weekend I’ve got two party’s and a christening on Sunday morning for my managers baby. In the meantime, I still need to study for my Stats exam in Week13 and also complete the second part of the ‘Professional Group Project’ which is a simple presentation. I’m considering designing webpage and displaying that. The joys.
On monday a few weeks ago, I received an email from a group member for Business Information Systems (More or less IPT revisited, aka BS). She asked me if 3-4pm on Monday’s was an okay time for group meetings. I agreed and never received a reply. A little concerned because of the fast approaching due date, I contacted her and she said that she SMS’d my phone number and that I replied. I never received an SMS. She later discovered that she infact had the wrong phone number, and as a result I missed the first group meeting. The second one is tomorrow, and I’ll have nothing to contribute. I feel a little bad, and while I’m busy with everything else and my weekend is full, I’m going to have a hard time. Though I find this subject very easy and completely irrelevant to me. That’s another blog post. Anyhow, on a completely unrelated note “Nationalism will bring us Victory!” PS: TIH.
