I am a 23 year old Ruby on Rails developer and university student living in Brisbane, Australia. I enjoy riding bicycles, motorbikes, taking photos and travelling.
My love of computers started when the old man showed me Prince of Persia on a 386. I bounced from a gamer interested in PC hardware, to a Linux fanatic who would install a distribution on anything with 1’s and 0’s before developing a genuine passion for software.
Since February 2008 I’ve been employed part-time as a Ruby on Rails developer for Everyday Hero, a service for empowering not for profits with the tools to multiply their fundraising efforts.
I am studying a Bachelor of Information Technology full-time at Griffith University where I will start my final year in March.
You can follow me on Twitter, browse my photos on Flickr, hear my musical taste on Last.fm or check out my answers and questions on Stack Overflow. I'm also on Facebook, but I don't visit very often.

I purchased tatey.com in 2003 and kicked it off with MovableType. In 2004, I switched to WordPress and introduced the lime and green colour that has been in each subsequent iteration. Two iterations over 2004 and 2005, tatey.com remained unchanged until 2008.
Inspired by Pascal Klein’s love of the Georgia typeface, I set out to create the sixth iteration. It introduced large typefaces, scalable units of measurement and greyish colours.
Today, you’re browsing the seventh iteration.
